Weldable Ceramic Transfer Point Liner
Weldable Ceramic Transfer Point Liner is a ceramic wear lining designed for conveyor transfer points, chutes, hoppers, loading zones and discharge sections handling abrasive bulk materials. The working surface uses dense alumina ceramic, while an integrated metal fixing structure allows the liner to be welded to steel equipment. Ceramic grade, thickness, dimensions and fixing positions can be configured according to the wear area and equipment drawing.
Product Structure
Alumina Ceramic Layer
The working surface uses 92% or 95% alumina ceramic to provide a hard, wear-resistant surface for direct contact with abrasive bulk materials. The ceramic grade can be selected according to material characteristics, impact conditions and expected wear intensity.
Weldable Fixing Point
An integrated metal fixing structure provides a defined welding interface for attachment to steel equipment. Fixing positions can be arranged according to the installation drawing and the required liner layout.
Steel Contact Interface
The metal backing or fixing structure is configured to suit flat or shaped steel surfaces. This allows the liner geometry and fixing arrangement to follow the structure of the transfer chute, hopper or other protected equipment.
Key Product Benefits
Mechanical Retention
The weldable fixing structure provides a direct mechanical connection to steel equipment and is suitable for applications exposed to continuous vibration and material impact.
Ceramic Wear Surface
The alumina ceramic working layer provides high hardness and abrasion resistance for areas exposed to continuous sliding and material flow.
Sectional Maintenance
The liner can be arranged in individual sections so that localized wear areas can be serviced according to the equipment layout and maintenance plan.
Layout Adaptability
Dimensions, thickness, ceramic grade and fixing positions can be configured to match the required wear area and equipment geometry.
How to Select the Ceramic Grade
92% Alumina
92% alumina is suitable for general abrasive material handling applications where a dense ceramic wear surface is required.
95% Alumina
95% alumina provides higher alumina content and is suitable for applications requiring a higher-grade ceramic material. Final grade selection should consider material characteristics, impact conditions, wear pattern and liner thickness.
Application Conditions
Conveyor Transfer Points
Installed at belt discharge and receiving areas where bulk material changes direction or falls onto a protected surface.
Chutes and Hoppers
Applied to inclined and vertical steel surfaces exposed to continuous sliding abrasion and concentrated material flow.
Bulk Material Handling
Suitable for applications handling coal, limestone, cement clinker, aggregates and mineral ores.
High-Wear Zones
Positioned in impact areas, material flow paths and other sections where abrasive contact is concentrated.

Manufacturing Control
Ceramic Sintering
The ceramic body is formed under controlled pressure and high-temperature sintering to achieve the required density and mechanical properties.
Dimensional Inspection
Finished liners are checked for length, width, thickness and fixing-position accuracy according to the applicable drawing or agreed tolerance.
Surface Verification
Ceramic surfaces and edges are inspected for dimensional conformity, surface condition and fixing-interface alignment before shipment.
Installation Considerations
Steel Surface Preparation
The installation surface should be clean, structurally sound and free from loose material, contamination and conditions that could interfere with welding.
Fixing Layout Execution
Liner positions and welding points should follow the approved installation drawing and correspond to the identified impact and wear zones.
Joint Arrangement
Liners should be arranged to maintain a continuous material flow path while allowing suitable access for inspection and maintenance.
Where This Liner Fits
Transfer Chutes
Suitable for internal steel surfaces exposed to abrasive material flow and concentrated impact at transfer points.
Discharge Sections
Applied around material drop points where repeated particle impact and sliding abrasion occur.
Bins and Hoppers
Installed along wall sections exposed to continuous material movement and localized wear.
Quality & Supply Information
Material Documentation
Material and inspection documentation can be provided according to project requirements, covering applicable ceramic properties and dimensional inspection results.
Drawing Compliance
Custom dimensions, fixing positions and liner configurations can be manufactured according to approved technical drawings and agreed specifications.
Inspection Records
Inspection records can cover dimensional accuracy, ceramic condition and fixing-component integrity according to the agreed quality requirements.
FAQ
Q: How is the liner fixed to steel equipment?
A: An integrated weldable metal fixing structure provides the connection between the ceramic liner and structural steel. Welding should be performed according to the approved installation procedure and applicable site requirements.
Q: Which alumina grade should be selected?
A: 92% alumina is suitable for general abrasive material handling. 95% alumina can be selected when a higher alumina ceramic grade is required. Final selection should consider material properties, impact conditions, wear concentration and liner thickness.
Q: What thicknesses are available?
A: Ceramic thicknesses from 10 mm to 50 mm are available. The appropriate thickness depends on particle size, material velocity, impact intensity, clearance and the specific wear area.
Q: Can the liner dimensions follow an equipment drawing?
A: Yes. Dimensions, thickness, fixing positions and flat or shaped configurations can be manufactured according to approved equipment drawings and technical requirements.
Q: What information is needed for a quotation?
A: Provide the equipment drawing or liner dimensions, material type, particle size, material flow conditions, impact characteristics, operating temperature where relevant, required quantity and installation requirements.
