Silicon Carbide Hydrocyclone Liner
TECERA silicon carbide hydrocyclone liner is a high-performance wear protection component for hydrocyclone separation systems. Manufactured from reaction bonded silicon carbide (RBSiC / SiSiC), it replaces traditional rubber, polyurethane and metal liners that suffer rapid wear and geometric deformation in abrasive slurry environments.
With a service life of 5–10 years - 6 times longer than polyurethane liners - it directly solves core industry pain points including frequent replacement shutdowns, drifting cut size (d50), declining classification efficiency and rising maintenance costs. It is widely deployed in mining, mineral processing, aggregate washing and chemical slurry separation processes.
Core Features & Benefits
Ultra-long wear resistance: With Mohs 9.5 hardness and below 0.1% open porosity, the RBSiC liner resists micro-cutting and scouring from high-velocity quartz-rich slurries, delivering 6 times the service life of polyurethane and 10+ times that of rubber liners, drastically reducing replacement frequency and unplanned shutdowns.
Stable separation accuracy: The rigid monolithic structure maintains precise internal geometry under 0.1–0.35 MPa operating pressure, preserving cone angle, apex diameter and vortex finder dimensions over its full service life. This keeps cut size (d50) stable, avoids overgrinding and reduces energy and reagent consumption.
Monolithic zero-joint construction: TECERA adopts single-piece casting technology with no tile joints or epoxy seams, eliminating stress concentration and premature failure points common in segmented liners. The low-porosity structure also delivers excellent chemical resistance across pH 1–14, withstanding acidic leach fluids and alkaline flotation reagents.
Custom drop-in compatibility: TECERA produces liners to match exact hydrocyclone models and dimensions, with custom cone angles, apex sizes and vortex finder configurations. They are direct drop-in replacements requiring no shell modification, enabling fast installation and quick commissioning.
